DRAWING OFFICE LEADER - HVAC

PERMANENT, FULL-TIME POSITION

ITD Projects Vacancy – In this position you will take full responsibility for ensuring that all drawings at ITD are done on time and to standard. The responsibility included taking charge of the day- to- day operations of the drawing office. With this comes the responsibility of ensuring quality of service and continual improvement.

As Drawing Office Leader – HVAC your responsibilities will include developing and detailing HVAC systems including ducting, piping & electrical services. This includes the development of drawings for manufacture & installation. Accuracy is paramount, with a good understanding of mechanical building services as well as steel and steel structures.


Key Deliverables:

  • Customer Satisfaction – always the main objective.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the ITD drawing office.
  • Administering the drawing office and keeping all project drawings & records up to date.
  • AutoCAD Revit design drawings.
  • Design & drafting of complete HVAC work including air distribution calculation, duct sizing, duct layouts, refrigerant piping, chilled water piping, diffusers/grill sizing etc.
  • Produce standard legends and notes for drawings.
  • Compiling all HVAC design work for site monitoring.
  • Compile all design information & parameters, to produce head load calculations & design, to design air conditioning & ventilation system, to do ducting design work & equipment selection.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in AutoCAD Revit
  • Grade 12 / Technical equivalent
  • Building services exposure
  • Understanding of building structures and site measuring – Advantageous
  • HVAC industry experience - Advantageous
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical - Advantageous
  • Valid Code 08 Driver’s License
  • Clear criminal record and medical as well as continual maintenance thereof.
