HVAC CONTRACTS | BASED IN JOHANNESBURG

ITD Group is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will spearhead the design, development, and project management of HVAC projects primarily in the Gauteng region. Your role encompasses providing sustainable and energy-efficient solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring exceptional value delivery, and maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Customer Satisfaction – is always the main objective.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and departments.
• Design, estimate, and propose HVAC solutions aligned with customer requirements.
• Offer technical expertise and guidance on HVAC strategies and sustainable practices to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee HVAC projects in the Gauteng region, coordinating resources and activities to ensure timely completion and quality installations.
• Manage construction documentation, financial controls, quality assurance, and commissioning verification.
• Conduct routine site checks, monitor site staff, and provide ongoing feedback and reporting.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in HVAC, energy management, and sustainability.
• Out of town work as per business requirements. Most work will be based in Gauteng.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) or related field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in HVAC.
• Alternatively, an N6 or B-Tech in a mechanical-related field with at least 7 years' post-qualification experience in HVAC.
• Proficiency in central HVAC plant, chillers, ducting, and piping systems.
• Experience in project management and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• AutoCAD/Revit experience is advantageous.
• Valid Code 8 Driver's License.
• Clear criminal and medical records, with a commitment to maintaining them.
